Day 6: How hot do you think it is? ... Hot!

We stayed at Hotel Saint Denis last night which was 1* but actually quite nice. We headed off to the supermarket in the morning to stock up on breakfast, lunch and drinks as we now know that there is nothing en route! We literally brought half the shop without thinking about how much room we had in our bags: copious amounts of biscuits, crisps, baguettes, drinks, cake, cheese and fruit (to feed the horses, not for us!)

The clouds quickly gave way to the sun and so we were very pleased to be wearing shorts. We are all getting some interesting tan lines, think bag straps, walking socks, shorts, boots, glasses, leg braces and walking south down one long road so only one side of us is tanning!! Currently looking like muscular zebras!!

The walk went pretty smoothly although we were glad to get out of the heat in every spot of shade we found and Leanne treated us to ice cream but we are all a little 'fatigued' (that's French for tired!)

We arrived early at the hotel so have a nice relaxing evening of long baths and card games- we are watching the synchronised swimming at the moment!

Mood: Jenny and Emily are physically and emotionally drained! (Leanne is fine)
