The ferry was delayed by one hour meaning that we didn't get to France until 6.00am! We went to bed as the sun came up to the sound of a cockerel (who would buy a cockerel?!)
Mr Lyons and Dorothy had a massive breakfast spread laid out for us when we finally rose at midday, then they took us back to the port for us to begin our french journey!
Today's walk was supposed to be our shortest journey at just 12.5 miles with camping and roasting marshmallows on a fire at the end.. However, we managed to get a bit lost in the forest and ended up putting the tent up in the dark, with only a wind up torch as light! After spending half an hour putting on 7 layers of clothes, Emily discovered that her sleeping bag was hot enough and spent just as long taking them off as Jenny and Leanne (snored) and spooned either side of her.
Lastly, we would like to say a massive thank you to all the people who have helped us out with lifts; Aran, Richie, Alison, Michael, Illy, Gary, Mr Lyons and Dorothy! We couldn't have done this without you!
