The Ball is Rolling...!

The past two weeks have seen all of our plans for the walk coming together. We finally reached £1000 in cash donations and raised £140 last week alone! If the money keeps rolling in like this, we'll be well past our target!

On top of all the donations we have been recieving, we had an evening of walk-planning on Tuesday and now the route is finally taking shape which means we can begin booking the ferry, hotels and support group!

Thirdly, we have been very lucky and the Ashtead Football club has said that we can host an event there for free! The venue holds 100 people so we are going to sell tickets and hold our raffle there, too. This will be a great way to reach out to more sponsors and hopefully have a really good evening!

After hearing about the raffle, I went into Epsom and began asking shops for prizes- their genorosity has been amazing and we have another top prize of a family photo portrait from Kenneth Broome worth over £100!

This coming Sunday, the three of us are walking from Ashtead to Kingston and back so we look forward to telling you how that went, next week.

So please, keep sponsoring us, liking us on facebook, telling your friends and keep May 27th free!

Emily :)
